SunaBox
Paint matter. Set it on fire. Then press rewind.
About
SunaBox is a modern physics sandbox in the spirit of the legendary OE-CAKE! (Prometech, 2007): 40 kinds of matter you paint straight into the world, machines that really run, fire that really spreads, fireworks that bloom in their own colours, and molten metal that sinks, cools, and welds. Because the engine is bit-exact and deterministic, every session is a starting state plus your inputs — replays are tiny, provable, and land on the same bits on any machine.
It opens original OE-CAKE .oec scene files, preserved
exactly, and ships a Classic mode with the 2007 toolbar laid out the way
players remember it.
Key features
- 40 materials with real thermodynamics: melting, freezing, burning, boiling, corrosion, detonation
- Rigid, elastic and bonded solids; axles, jets and player-drivable machines
- Import any PNG as matter — rigid, liquid, or flammable
- Bit-exact deterministic engine: perfect replays, rewind, byte-identical shares
- Classic OE-CAKE mode and
.oecscene compatibility - Native builds for Windows, macOS and Linux, with Steam Deck support
